·         mondo-mehndi started research and development in 2007. Developing our concept of creating embellished yoga mats by hand wasn’t as easy as you’d think. The peacock at left is one of the earliest hand-drawn prototypes and represents about 125 hours of work. At that rate mondo-mehndi could produce one mat a month … there had to be another way.

·         mondo-mehndi's research and development paid off when we printed the  first run of mats in 2009. Our unique designs are artist-drawn then digitized. The digital file is used to create the screen for printing our one-of-a-kind designs.

·         mondo-mehndi's designs are screen-printed on high-quality yoga mats. As yoga practitioners we like a thicker mat that has to be lightweight and sticky; so that’s what we we’ve chosen to print on.
